Leon Rainbow and Jose “Busta” Bustamante of High Chroma continue to transform public spaces with their latest collaborative mural, Raising the Next Legacy. Located in the heart of Kensington, Philadelphia, this vibrant piece blends bold color, classical form, and contemporary graffiti to create a powerful message of growth, resilience, and community pride.

The mural features a striking bust of a child adorned with flowers, framed by a radiant stained-glass-inspired background. Below, the phrase “Raising the Next Legacy” emerges in bold, stone-style graffiti lettering, wrapped in flowering vines and framed by vivid blooms — symbolizing both the fragility and strength of the next generation.

This work was made possible through IMPACT (BRAKE) — a community-centered initiative dedicated to Blight Removal & Assistance for Kensington Entrepreneurs. By reclaiming neglected walls and spaces, this project turns blighted areas into thriving cultural landmarks. Raising the Next Legacy is a living testament to that mission — reminding us that when we invest in art and youth, we invest in the future.
