W.I.S.E.N. Mural
Leon Rainbow x Busta Art
Leon Rainbow and Jose “Busta” Bustamante (Busta Art) collaborated to create a vibrant, story-driven mural for Wisen Learning Center, transforming the outdoor learning environment into a colorful world of imagination, movement, and discovery.
Designed specifically for early learners, the mural brings the W.I.S.E.N. philosophy to life through a cast of playful characters—each representing a core learning station and developmental focus. Together, they turn the wall into an interactive visual experience that supports creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning.

Izzy the Iguana (I) – A science and math explorer who represents STEM learning through experimentation and discovery.
Sammy the Squirrel (S) – Full of imagination and energy, Sammy celebrates pretend play and storytelling at the Imagination Station.
Emmy the Elephant (E) – The creative spirit of the mural, inspiring self-expression through art, drawing, and hands-on crafts.
Novey the Narwhal (N) – A musical force bringing rhythm, movement, and joy to circle time and music activities.
Art That Supports Learning
The mural blends Leon Rainbow’s bold patterns, movement, and storytelling with Busta Art’s expressive characters and playful visual language. Bright colors, approachable imagery, and flowing compositions were intentionally chosen to spark engagement while remaining welcoming and age-appropriate.
More than a mural, this project functions as a visual teaching tool—reinforcing learning themes, encouraging imaginative play, and helping children connect concepts to characters they can recognize and love.
The W.I.S.E.N. mural is a celebration of how art can enrich educational spaces, strengthen community identity, and make learning feel joyful, inclusive, and alive.
